They had 3 or 4 Road Kings that were priced under $20K. These were bare bones models and adding any options at all raised the price to well over $20K. The models that I have been seeing that are priced over $30K are the Road Glides, Street Glides, and CVOs. All of their Glides were over $30K, but they all had options that increased their price. The sales guy said the Glides can be had for less than $30K without the options. Every CVO they had was over $40K.
So I admit I was wrong. The prices I was claiming were for the wrong model. So flame away, I deserve it...
No problem, I am glad you got to talk to someone. No need to flame you, since you admitted you were wrong.
Just one thing, dont call an under $20,000 Road King "Bare Bones" no such thing.
Road King comes with everything provided in the links I provided. Only real option is ABS, two tone paint, both can be had for less then $21,000 add on luggage rack back rest if you want still would be less.
ALL come with 103 hi output engine, cruise control, 6 speed, bremo brakes, painted hard saddlebags ect, ect. anyway, you can see, the pricing provided in the Harley links I provided or at Harley Davidsons website can be had and is not a come on.
ALL CVOs are more money, its a custom bike = Custom Vehicle Operations = CVO
If you visit Harleys website, you can buy Street GLides and Road Glides for way under 30,000 as well, again, pricing on Harleys website.
Street Glides and Road Glides start at just under 21,000. It might take a little more work to find the cheaper ones simply because buyers of those bikes want every option under the sun and the buyers who dont want all those options buy the less expensive ones right up.
SO what I am saying, one last time, you can go to Harleys website, look up pricing and buy the bike you see, it MIGHT take a little more work to buy a less expensive street glide or road glide and I use the word might, strongly, simply because of demand. However, though not for me, many people do spend that extra few grand for the more options in the fairing models, but I myself can buy one for 23,000 and have seen them on the showroom floors of the dealers near me.

When I said "bare bones" I just meant with no options...
