first oil change on my first car was to Mobil 1 0W-40.

Same here but it was called "Everclear."In the late '90's, I was using Quaker 5W-30. I had been drawn in by those cool clear bottles that Quaker was using.
Wizard oil? I remember the wizard car parts.i worked at a western auto and i could swear we had store brand oil where you could get a quart for 59 cents with a coupon. it was in the same type of bottle as havoline but with a different sticker so assume they were the ones making it.
As a teen, I worked at Texaco full service station, and owned gm 350's in the '70's, those engines on Havoline 10-40 were the GOAT, they never failed.havoline 10w-40 in a 69 350 chevy with 041 heads, a holley 650, and a crane fireball.
