My Civic is going on 13 months now, the MM is at 15% but I'm not driving the car as much now that Corvette weather has arrived

So I bet it'll be another 4 or 5 months before I end up hitting 0% and changing the oil. In my Corvette I last changed it's oil in October 2013, the oil life monitor is at 44% right now and I will probably end up changing the oil at the end of the summer or early fall, so it will be at or very close to two years time. In my wife's BMW, it's oil was last changed in July or August 2014, and I will wait until about the one year mark to change it. Oil analysis will prove that in all of these cases, I've chosen the correct interval.

Yep, I have every record and receipt since my ownership. Its been well cared for for sure. It just ticked down to 20% today, so in about 300 miles or so it should be down at 15%, making the OCI around 5200 miles.

LOL! By how much? $100?

And that's being generous.
I recently sold my Ford Focus and not even one person asked for any records.

There are some out there that are interested in the service history. It may not increase the resale, but it could easily steer someone in your direction vs Joe Shmoe who is selling the same make and model as you but with no service records.

Focus and Accord are Joe Schmoe buyers typically so service records not as important. A specialty or niche model it seems to play a larger role.

I know you use synthetic but my mechanic mentioned changing a few timing chains out of Accords with owners who did long OCI's with them using regular oil. My mechanic does a lot of major work(mostly Subaru) as his labor rate is $60/hr.

Probably less important for very common makes/models. In the end, all the maintenance, sweat and tears that you put into it are done for your own satisfaction, not for the next owner.

I went 12 months and 6,600 miles on the last OCI on my 2014 Mustang GT and the OLM was at 2%. I use 5W-20 Motorcraft blend. It didn't bother me at all to go this long. I'm not nearly as OCD on oil changes like I used to be.

I change my daily driver 92 cavalier every 5,000 miles with TropArtic and my trucks at one year because I don't put a whole lot of miles on them in a year.

I'm at almost a year on the Lincoln now and about 5800 miles on it. it eats one every 1000-1500 or so so I just add one and will likely take it out to 10,000 this way.
