I have a phone,Samsung S9 that needs the speaker replaced. I want to fix it, but don't wanna pay a "mall" price. Is there any place that I can send it to that does it a lot cheaper?

We have a guy in town that does phone and computer repair out of his home...quality work at a fair price. I wonder if you could ask around and find someone similar in your area.

Learn to repair it yourself, there's plenty of online guides how to do it. . It's all part swap where you can buy what is needed and install it yourself. If a teenager can do it, anyone can.

Depends. Some of this stuff is really nasty to do. It's pretty easy to damage a wire or other component. At least bringing in one to someone else will likely mean they will accept responsibility for damaging something that wasn't previously damaged.

If it’s an Apple product, yes. Samsung and most others use lots of special Tesa tape and adhesives to hold their devices together(so does Apple, but you can gain access to a iPhone with a pentalobe screwdriver and a little heat). Opening up a Samsung Galaxy or similar involves patience, heat and a light touch as not to break the glass in order to reveal the screws that hold things together.

I personally go to Yelp and look for the best quality place and the one with fewest screw up or complains, instead of finding the lowest price. They are usually just slightly more instead of double or triple. One I went to help "lend" me a screen so I can backup my data before sending into Apple Store for warranty repair. I paid for the labor and the guy was understanding, even lend me a cable while I was backing up the phone in his store.

Some idiot fanboy blamed me for being cheap and not getting a bigger icloud plan instead of apple not letting people backup a phone without a screen to unlock (say unlock via iTunes with iCloud account), they'll learn that one day it will hit them hard.
