Is safty-kleen 15w-40 the cheapest 15w-40 money can buy?
Its the cheapest I can find (for use in the lower 48).
Edit: prices for 55 gallon drum.

What prices are you seeing. If it is the lowest priced available I'd get it, it's good stuff.

Doubtful. This price ends today: 10.37 per gallon
Even adding in the $18 discount yields a per gallon price better than the $67 quoted to me on their website. Note Safetykleen does some kind of regional pricing so that price may vary at your location.

My bad I left off that I was looking at 55 gallon drum prices.

For 55 gallon drum prices, I see Safetykleen at $841 and Sam's Club Rotella T4 at $819.98 and available at my local store. Two purchases per year justifies the membership fee.

Looks like the place I work needs a sam's club membership.
Even that price kind of sucks as I can buy oil from the red rock oil store for $12.76 a gallon by bringing my own container, with cash and that's including tax.

What price for the drum. I'm seeing 800 for saftey cleen. I'd buy sinopec in the drum which is $595 and pay the $100 shipping or buy two and get free shipping as long as you have a dock and forklift. It's made in singapore and not the US which is a valid reason but i'd be ok with it since it's a known solid oil. It's nice that they offer hdeo in straight 30/40/50, 15w-40, and 20w-50 but I'd only get the latter two.

Sams club membership is $20. I recall your other thread that was along similar lines, the argument against walmart or sams club is myopic when you can get 16 gallons of delvac at $10 a gallon. Do multiple purchases if you need a tanker load. Buy 10 cabbages at once, baby formula, or paper plates, toilet paper, 10lbs of twizzlers, shop towels while you are also there.

Its not my money. Where I work should be using at least five 55 gallon drums a month, if the techs were doing all the oil changes they're supposed to be doing.
Last month they used 3.

All of that context would have been helpful in the beginning.

You should be using bulk oil at that consumption rate. Not drums.

The Safety Kleen oil is cheapest for my work since we generate over 1,000+ gallons of their old oil per week. It works fine for us.

It’s only $20 for first timers, otherwise it’s $65. I know, I ran out of family members to sign up with me!
