Not bad not great some are better than others . The meat tastes sour.. I find Texas Roadhouse far superior in Comparison. Better meat.

Texas Roadhouses have a pretty good prime rib for the money …

We eat at the Saltgrass in Grapevine pretty often. It's one of my favorites!!

I like The Capital Grill more than Ruth's. Steaks are the same but the sides are much better, Lobster mac and cheese for one.

Outback is so-so. Nothing special. Usually loud and crowded Fri/Sat.

. Ruth's Chris is awesome! Best steaks I have ever eaten. However, if you're not careful dinner for two can cost a couple Benjamin's!

Australia's favorite steak washed down with Australia's favorite beer, Fosters Lager. An authentic Aussie experience replicated perfectly for us in the states!....wait for response.

I'm not much of a steak eater, so I can't judge the quality of the steaks there. As I just don't really like the taste of most modern beef. Something is wrong with today's beef and I truly despise the secondary flavors. Not a problem in rural Africa though, as the meat there tastes like I remember.

I like Outhouse Steakback, for their salmon and soups. My wife hates their stake fillets (intentionally misspelled) So we just don't go there anymore.

I feel the cooks at Outhouse try to produce good food, but the basis for good tasting meat is the quality of the meat itself.

I tend to avoid national chains based on the fact that we can generally review them across the United States without a change in flavors or "quality."

If you're ever near Fayetteville NC and want a good steak and award-winning local beer, The Mash House is the best around.

The ones I've been to are allright ... nothing special, in comparison to a "real" Steak House, but far from the worst, and better than you might expect from a franchise eatery. Steaks were always properly cooked when I've ate there (probably a dozen times) which is not very common in restaurants that don't know steaks well ... it's not hamburger, after all.

If you like US beef as it comes these days ... they use what looks like USDA Prime at the table, usually, although for my tastes the current practices generates steak that is too lean, and I can taste the corn in the diet (we use oats and barley for grain feed here) but you probably won't notice that.

Like all chains, the biggest issue will be how well run the location you visit is.

The signs on the restrooms are labeled Blokes for the mens room and sheilas for the womans room..Shrimps on the Barbi as well. That is authentic down under.

You missed outback's best years by at least a decade. It used to be a phenomenal deal and great meat (someone here in another thread talked about how high the grade of meat was).

Sadly, outback is just another kitchie chain restaurant with its best days behind it and better value at either local places or more upscale places for not much more money

They used to be. Then they all but went bankrupt up here except certain select locations. Niagara Falls has one but the service there sucks. If you want a really good steak but it's gangster expensive Ruth's Chris is good, at least here anyway.

Same impression here, Outbook used to be OK, now prices are high and quality is so-so, service "depends".

Don't get me started on Longhorn. Meat is good but lately the prices are just crazy. Texas Roadhouse is our go-to for a chain steak house.

Mainly we go to local independent eateries, for a really good steak I get it at the local butcher from local cattle and then fire-up the barby (sorry had to say that).

Seriously? Ruth Chris is like a four $$$$ restaurant vs a two or three $ one at Outback. It'd be better to compare Ruth Chris to Morton's or Capital Grille than Outback. I've eaten at Capital Grille before, some of the best service by far so I'd say it's slightly better than Ruth Chris although Ruth Chris is no slouch either.
