I find myself starting to like instant coffee more and more lately. If I'm craving just a single cup, I'll usually just go for whatever instant coffee I have on hand rather than making a pot of coffee with whatever coffee I have currently. As I just can't seem to make a decent cup of coffee the traditional way anymore, instant coffee is just a nice option

Yes, but not in a traditional sense. I put about a teaspoon and a half of it in my morning smoothie. It's a nice kick.
That's the beauty of the single serve coffee makers. But that cup of coffee ain't exactly cheap!

I'm a coffee snob, I admit it, but sometimes there are fish that need catching or trails that need hiking and I can't be bothered to warm up the espresso machine...

No way, I’d rather have tea or just plain water than instant coffee. My wife on the other hand likes it.
For single cup and very good coffee, buy a French press. IKEA has very good ones for cheap. I have yet to drink a coffee from all sorts of machinery that would beat a French press coffee.

I take coffee bags when I go hunting, it’s real coffee in a bag rather than instant. It’s probably not available up there but there’s probably something similar.

Different people, different tastes. No one is wrong. My kids say my idea of coffee is far too weak. I think theirs is far too strong. My wife does not mind letting her coffee get cold and drinks it with milk in it (ick).

Yes, for the convenience. It’s not my standard goto, depending on the situation such as traveling, etc.

It depends. Some instant coffee tastes better than some dripped coffee and some taste better than a whole lot of keurig coffee.
For me it's mostly convenience. I drink both coffee and tea and so I just need one kettle to do it all. Quick, painless, no filters, no used pods sitting in a landfill, cheap to buy, kettles never break down but I spent over $250 on 2 keurigs that were both dead in a year (hard/well water will do that even with regular descaling).

Only in a pinch and it has to be hot & strong. And though I drink my coffee & espresso black, no sugar/Sambuca, instant coffee needs cream.

6-8oz of water per pod is the norm.
4-5 for strong 10-12 for weak.
There is only about 12 grams of coffee in a pod.
I use 28-30 grams for 20 oz.. when I do my morning coffee
I felt the same way. Now the best cup I make is with a cheaper amazon find called Elite Gourmet HyperChiller that takes pods. I use Sam’s Club house blend and it is truly the best single-serve cup of coffee I’ve ever had.
If I’m going for a punch, espresso in the Nespresso.
