Thanks for the heads up. The end of the article stated that the solution was to update Chrome:
To combat these threats, Google has released a critical Chrome update, version 95.0.4638.54. To check if you are protected, navigate to Settings > Help > About Google Chrome. If your Chrome version matches this version number or higher, you are safe. Be warned, Google states that the rollout of 95.0.4638.54 will be staggered so you may not be able to protect yourself immediately. If the update is not yet available for your browser, make sure you check regularly for the new version.

I wonder how this impacts Edge users and how long it'll take Microsoft to do the equivalent patches.
Good question. My version of Edge, which is up to date, is 94.0.992.50 , which was released 7 days ago.
Funny, I am on 94.x which is the current update. Perhaps the 95.x version will push soon?

The latest update (95) broke Chrome on my Android tablet. Some pages are not loading.
You wont find that data-mining spyware crap on my systems. Firefox + duckduckgo + prophylactic plugins for the win.
MS has produced a version with the security updates, but so far my laptop hasn't been able to pick it up. It is Edge 95.0.4638.54. If your version of edge doesn't update to that number (or higher), I'd do a manual update check tomorrow and see if it is available. Probably a controlled rollout.

Do you mean Edge 95.0.1020.30, mine was 94 something earlier and I just checked and it updated to 95.0.1020.30, while it said there was no update earlier
After looking around I found this from Microsoft, https://msrc.microsoft.com/update-guide/en-US/vulnerability/CVE-2021-37986 , 95.0.1020.30 is the Edge equivalent of Chrome 95.0.4638.54
That settles it then. I was told that the fix was in 95.x.4638---but that number referred to the Chromium version, not the Edge version as I thought. OK looks like we're both on the version with the security fix.
