If you had to use a jobber/cheap filter what would you use?

Me personally if I wanted to I’d probably go Prime Guard since they are $2.99 or. CARQUEST premium since I can get them $4. Wouldn’t touch ST or any First Brands filth though.

What would you use?

CarQuest Premium are great filters. I wouldn’t consider them a cheap/jobber filter. The only thing cheap would be the $4 price that the OP can get them for. I’d run them all day.

if i couldn't get my mitts on the Ecogard blue or PG white cans, I would have to go with a WM Super Tech, WIX PROTEC or NAPA PERFORMER.

Define Jobber? I mean Prime Guard is a pretty decent filter to me. So if that is Jobber I guess I would use one of those.

Hengst is $3.33 at RA. Is that jobber?

How does one define Jobber? I always thought Jobber was like white can $1 each in a case of 24 sort of thing - like Pro-tec or whatever?

My definition of a jobber filter is something under $2.50. If I have to spend >$4 then I may as well use OE.

But at the jobber price point I would probably choose something I can get in bulk for that price, but then again, I don't have a need to use jobber filters.

I appreciate the link, but my question remains unanswered. Where does a jobber end and non-jobber start?

I always considered jobber filters as those like Prime or luber finer or similar. Above people saying Denso, Premium Gard, etc. I would consider those standard filters. I am currently running a Hengst. It was $3.33 from RA. I consider it not a jobber filter.

Am I wrong?
