Hello again. I was wondering how many of you folks here who work on vehicles; what brand of oil filters are you seeing being used? I see lots of FRAM PRO, ECOGARD, PRIME GIARD. Not many Napa/Purolator filth anymore. For our diesel stuff at work we went Baldwin/Donaldson. Hopefully we are on way back to CHAMP LABS as they never failed us.

A lot of AutoExtra and STP from autozone.

Personally putting on PG made Microgard Select on my Gen 3 LS stuff and have Delcos on the new Gen V.

If I’m not going OEM, anything that is Premium Guard. Great quality and not expensive at all. Plus, I have enough now to keep me going for probably next 4/5 years….easy.

Adam, this thread reminded me of the “jobber filter” thread from April I think. Just curious what a shop pays for a jobber filter? If it cost us $3, maybe $1? Wonder what Walmart auto centers pay for that super tech filter they use? 50 cents maybe?

I hear that the ProTec and Auto Extras we use at work they are $3.75 or so.

Euro - Mann, Hengst, Mahle, Purflux, or Genuine
Asian - Toyota Genuine, Honda or Nissan Full
Don’t really work on many American cars but they get Motorcraft or Delco
