Oldest oil filter you ever used?

I just installed the oldest filter I have ever used. This is a Honeywell Fram XG3597A that may be from 2006. The box lists 2005 as the copyright date, and the date code is C60593. IIUC that date code represents the 59th day of 2006 or 2016, and I can't imagine they would still be using 10+ y.o. boxes in 2016. After all, Honeywell sold their FRAM shares in 2011 (according to AI).

Therefore I believe this filter is 19 years old, and I found it on the walmart clearance shelf a few years ago, still wrapped in cellophane; apparently someone found it in a back room! Or someone returned it gor a refund after all these years.

If the UPC was the same, I am betting someone just bought a newer one and returned this on that receipt.

I think you are right! My filter's UPC (below) is the same as the one listed on the Summit Racing site for the new XG3593A. Fortunately for the shopper/returner, walmart takes returns without a receipt; but I'm kinda surprised they didn't use the filter before returning it...

There is an old 273 Chrysler v-8 in dad’s garage. Out of a Valiant uncle thinks. Oil filter is on engine. Shoulda grabbed that filter and brought home and cut it open.

I was given leftover from an estate auction an AC Duraguard PF-47 oil filter, Made in England, and said it fit cars through 92; I used it in 2010 on a 1993 Buick Regal 3800 without any issues.
