If CD2 street legal additive has four times the additives than regular SL oil, could a person use SA or SB oil and add one or even two bottles of pink to the mix and still have a useable oil for a modern engine?
OR - after using the rope method of filtering used oil which I have been told filters not only the "trash" from the oil, but also the additives. Could this oil be re-used with a bottle or two of CD2 pink?

It is made to go one pint to a crankcase and should not unbalance the oil. There should be some leeway on balance anyway, but putting SLOB into SA oil will never get to a balanced package state to begin with.

The question to me is whether the bottle contains every single additive that oil needs (anti-foaming, acid neutralizers, etc) or just some of the most common anti-wear compounds. I'd guess the latter. But I don't know.

Well I suppose the easiest way to produce an aftermarket additive is just dilute some of the PCMO additive the oil company uses to blend the oil in the first place. If so, then it should be a complete package, but you'll never know.
