After reading some posts today on the CD2 Street Legal pink bottle, I took a trip to my local big lots. I had remembered about a week ago seeing this stuff on the shelf and wanted to get some. Walked back to the automotive section only to discover the shelves had been cleared - no pink bottles. Contented myself with a few bottles of CD2 75,000 additive at 1.50 per bottle. "Oh well," I thought, "some local Bitoger beat me to it." Went up front. checked out, was walking out of the store and saw an entire shopping cart loaded with the pink bottles. I stopped, asked the check-out girl and she said, "Oh yeah, we're marking that down to one dollar a bottle. Do you want some." Well smear my face with jam and roll me in an ant hill. I bought 43 bottles for one dollar a bottle. The oil gods have smiled on me and to a small degree, are comforting me for missing the Delo 400 for one dollar a gallon in the not to distant past.

So far I've bought only one bottle, price was $1.99. Hmm... might have to check out BL again & see if they lower the price here too.
How long will it take to use 43 bottles? Do you drive alot or do you plan to live forever?

For $1, I'd grab all the CD2 products too.
43 bottles is a pretty big stockpile. But, if you do a lot of oil changes, you can use it up quickly. 43 bottles would last me a year.
BigLots still wants $2 per bottle here. Too expensive!

No, I was joking about the two bottles. One bottle is sufficient. But I am running the 2000 ppm zinc mix.
Picked up 6 bottles last week. They still had 30 some left. No motor oil at all. The auto section had been moved and was only 1/2 the size as it used to be.
Well the downside of it is at $1 a bottle it will all be gone soon. Anyway, I have 12 bottles, but maybe another dozen would be a good idea. I think two bottles per OCI would be a good amount. I actually have a different zddp containing additive in my crankcase to approximately 3 bottles of SLOB worth of zddp, or about 2000 ppm zinc and phosphorus.
Will have beginning (next month) and ending (Nov or Dec) used oil analysis too.

There was CD2 75,000+ for 1.50 a bottle. Would this be safe for my car? I run regular oils like Mobil 5000 Chervon Supreme with lower additive packages. So will this give my 165,000 mile motor protection against engine wear?

Does it say anything about extra antiwear additives on the bottle? The Oil Boost stuff says right on the bottle it has four times the antiwear additive as motor oil.
