Of course it isn't. Toyota hasn't got plastic body panel tech worked out yet, they're three decades behind in that area.

It may well be just a combination of Ford's habit of using coil springs that don't last more than two or three years and people overinflating the tires.

My co-worker has a 2010 Escape and it cupped the rear tires bad. He said it's "aligned right", but who knows. He did put some Destination LE2s on it about 6 months ago and they're wearing much better than the OEM Continentals. I'm sure the dodgy Continental tires were at least as much to blame as the suspension itself.

Congrats on finding a car and being happy with it.
I have never seen one of those in my life. Looks like a Ford 500 twin. (Canadian Mercury has been gone since 1999)
