Break it in hard and you'll have a lot less chances of oil consumption.

I have a 2016 WRX that I bought new. Doesn't use oil.

I'll try and post pics later but it is nothing fancy. Just a basic dark gray fozzie.
 
Welcome to the club.
The only thing wrong with our '09 Forester is its thirst.
With the '17, that was fixed.
The Forester has one of the highest percentage lease residual values in the industry.
That tells you something.

I failed at multiple levels. I didn't want to be buying anything at all until next summer. Life happens I guess.

Odd open to CVT but closed to DI.


I have owned DI and well aware of the issues if you are a perfectionist.

My fears of the CVT were resolved when I got to ride in some better ones and it turns out they aren't really issues at all. The DI has small issues that I'd have to deal with and I really want to keep this one until I can't keep it anymore.
