I'll sum it up by saying that for the last 250,000+ miles only Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w20 and Redline 0w20 / 5w20 were all that was used. All my oil filters get primed with Lubegard Biotech. Only oil filters were the Fram Ultra and Napa Platinum at 15-20k mile intervals. I've been using the same Injen Nano filter for over 200,000 miles without even having to clean it. Running NGK Ruthenium sparkplugs with low/no ethanol. At around 150,000 I decided to use Castrol Transmax CVT and changed it every 10-15k. Used only PEA based fuel system cleaners from Redline and Gumout almost exclusively. Tires have only been Yokohama Avid Ascend with nitrogen. Outside and inside has been cleaned with Griots.
I'd like to thank BITOG too. This site has got some neat people on here with different backgrounds and ideas. Some have taught me a lot of things about cars, and others have taught me what not to do with my car. It's been an adventure for me and all my passengers aka friends and family!! Helped relatives and friends get to chemotherapy, work, school, bar, etc

Lastly the companies that made stuff that I used to get there..
Fkx Racing, Redline Oil, Pennzoil, Gumout, Borla, TanabeUsa, YokohamaTire, LUBEGARD, & Megan Racing.

This site along with high quality parts, fluids, and a reliable maintenance regime can take most cars a long way. Don't cheap out on quality material. Thank you to everyone @ bobistheoilguy.com

Great post.
Great accomplishment.
Hug your dogs.

That's a great achievement!

What about repairs? Or other maintenance? Ever need to change the brake pads, struts, tie rods, wheel bearings etc?

OP- How are you semi-retired and putting 75K miles per year? Are you just driving across the country constantly or are you in the transport business?

I fell into some money long ago. I work part time and help get friends and family places when transportation isn't available. I get bored and like to see stuff. Only person that has seen more of Kansas than me is former Senator Bob Dole. A friend of mine did his security detail. He loves Dairy Queen ice-cream apparently too.

Cool milestone and insane amount of time behind the wheel.

But, what's with basically thanking the various brands?
How did Yokohama or Megan Racing help you get to 300k miles reliably for example?

Or was there some other "help" there?

Don't take it the wrong way, but that second to last paragraph smacked me as something you were required to include. Sort of like a race car driver mentions all the sponsors after a win.

There is guy on the Civic forums that went over 1,000,000 on his own Civic (Medical Currier driver) without using any type of magic elixirs in the engine oil. He did replace the original engine at 660,000 miles with a used junkyard unit.
