I Like Annoying Aggressive Drivers

The other major piece of stupidity? Every single day. School bus stopped. 4 lane double-yellow, red lights flashing. Traffic going the opposite direction just keeps going, bus honks. It's like Groundhog Day. Hey, school bus reds violation is a mandatory suspension, so these cars are banking on the cop being unable to catch up to them. But he might one day.
Maybe it’s just because other states are different and people do not know?
It seems in Pennsylvania if there is a grass median or a barrier, you do not have to stop.

In South Carolina if it’s four lanes, the opposing lanes do not have to stop, no stipulations.

I don’t know about other states, but I thought that was national. Which now I’ll look into my new state in North Carolina.

@John105
I’m glad I ran into your post. My new state of North Carolina on four-lane roads I do have to stop if there is no center median.

Maybe this is where the confusion lies because I wasn’t even aware of that. So thanks you might have saved me a ticket one day.😉

Meh! This was just a post of someone showing their rear end to the world. And the subsequent dog pile of disgust that followed with a sprinkling of agreement here and there.
I would happily drive behind the O.P. all day long, smile, wave and give him a thumbs up and peace sign.
And he won't coast hard on me B.C. I can drive properly in stop and go. Been doing it for over a half a century.

Now start a thread to discuss passive-aggressive posting on forums and how some like to tee off bad posters.

Not a bad idea actually.

If you go look at my first post it was not passive aggressive at all. I was very clear with exactly how I feel about it… but if it wasn’t clear enough then I can make it more succinct… I don’t like bullies or bullying behavior - I call it like I see it.

Heres what I did a couple of days ago.

I'm doing the speed limit in the right lane (slow lane) and some idiot in white SUV starts riding my butt. I tolerated it for a couple stoplights, but then I decided to make him angry. I accelerated from a stoplight in my underpowered honda civic. I took about 1 minute to accelerate to 60mph. I hit the off ramp and suddenly he's on my butt again. So I firmly (didn't slam the brakes) and slowly pressed down on the brake pedal while I was approaching a tight right-hand turn. He shoots out from behind me and flies into traffic to assert his dominance.

I agree with you, I like messing with tailgaters as much I like zipping around elderly drivers that block the fast lane on the way to work.

What the OP doesn't seem to understand is that fast 'aggressive' drivers want nothing at all to do with anyone else on the road. They're just in the way of getting from point A to point B with as little drama as possible.

Driving in a way that specifically antagonizes other drivers makes you the aggressive one. Speed has nothing to do with it. Stop taking it so personally and feeling you need to teach someone a lesson to get back at them.

Get ‘em!

I’m sure people like this think they have the moral high ground and that is the justification for their actions. Unfortunately people often do disgusting things to others when they feel morally superior. Empathy can be thrown out the window when you’re always right.

I was doing a big home improvement project and borrowed a friend's derelict 1999 F150 pickup truck for a few months. Rather than commute to work in my own cars I used his truck to commute in - 36 miles round trip. When somebody made a purposely inconsiderate or selfish move I wouldn't give them an inch (there is a big difference between someone being selfish versus someone being polite). To the selfish ones - wanna trade paint and bend some sheetmetal? Sure. Let's do it! When commuting in that derelict truck the people wanting to play road games avoided me like I was radioactive. If I ever had to commute to work again I would do it driving a heap.

Same experience here! I borrowed my old boss's 90s Tahoe sport once and it was great having people not cut me off. Anybody tailgating me didn't matter since I couldn't see them out the back lol!

I'm all for trying to smooth out the "inchworm" affect but if you try and do that around here, and I assume most places, people just keep cutting in front of you which gets annoying after a while.

You never know, maybe OP will take the advice and self reflect. I'd say it was worth the scrutiny if it avoided someone getting hurt in the future.

Right on. I vividly remember one time when two freeway lanes were merging into one. At 40 mph or so people were "zippering" nicely except this person in a black Honda Accord with blacked out windows. We were well past the point where driving two abreast was still possible. In my rear view mirror I saw the Accord passing at least a dozen single file vehicles that were politely and properly zippered behind me. From the looks of it the timing was going to be "right" - meaning I was going to be his very last chance to cut in line.

He pulled up beside me, about half a car length in front of me, and started to forcefully merge into my lane. I REFUSED to let him in, and I'm sure there were points his shiny black paint was separated from my derelict white paint by less and an inch. It became a game of chicken. I held my ground until he reached the highway barrier that blocked the left lane, forcing him to slam on his brakes and stop.

The best part was he was trapped. All the motorists behind me who saw his selfish behavior closed the gaps to keep him from cutting back into the lane. In my rearview mirror I personally saw him "lose a dozen positions" or more, no one letting him in.

That truck, and 20 against 1. It was hilarious.

That would be awesome. I would give somebody major kudos and respect if they were to do that. I’ve seen a lot of rants on here and usually unfortunately most just double down as they weren’t looking for advice so much as a self gratifying echo chamber

It’s not his driving technique that is under scrutiny.

Go back and look at the thread title. He takes pleasure in annoying other drivers.

He determines who is right and who is wrong and then “punishes” those who he deems wrong.

Deliberately annoying other drivers is the crux of the issue, not his driving technique.
Well, in that case I apparently enjoy it too because I enjoy driving sensibly as I do. If it apparently is annoying others that's just an ancillary issue. I don't mind it though.

I'm in SC and didn't know this and lived here for 40 years. But I got my first driver's license in PA where the grass or solid median made a difference. You are correct. In SC on a 4 lane road the opposing traffic on the other side does not have to stop for the school bus on the other side even if no median barrier or grass. Due to my first learning, I've been stopping. Learn something every day.
