I had a major attack today..............

Nearly couldn't breath.
I hope everything is ok, my friend. Same thing happened to me years ago. I was dating a nurse at the time, so I was dragged to ER. Thankfully, everything was fine physically. No heart problems or allergic reactions. My problem was anxiety. I had it my entire life, but I was in denial because I was always able to suppress it...until I couldn't anymore. That was a life-changing diagnosis, and the quality of my life is so much better now!

My advice to all men out there: If you ever have breathing issues or chest pains, go the ER and check your ticker. If your ticker is ticking fine, then test for food allergies. Then, look inward and check your wrinkly gray meat computer. A simple mental reset was all I needed, thankfully.

Glad you are OK. I think everyone has covered it. What you seem to have experienced is an anaphylactic reaction. Fortunately you had an epinephrine injection as these can be fatal! Get tested by your physician and don’t leave home without an epi pen.

Nearly couldn't breath.

Not sure why.

Like an asthma/allergy attack. I thought maybe it was from weed whacking. I mean other than hacking a lung up, eyes running and nose watering and heart pounding, head exploding, can't breath, I'm fine. It was more than hour after I showered, etc

I usually never have grass allergies. The odd part, it happened around 8-10 minutes after I ate 3 store bought grape tomatoes. Daughter is allergic to tomatoes and I was tested to have some sensitivity to tomatoes.

Carry on. Feel like I need to rest now.
It's definitely an allergenic reaction to something. Either some of your bathroom soaps, shampoos, conditioners, gels, lotions etc. or the tomatoes might've been in contact with something that you're allergic to or simply full of pesticides or herbicides.

I've been using the Irish Spring soaps (from Walmart) for years until I found I'm allergic to them because every time after I shower my nose starts to run heavily and I sneeze heavily too. I stopped using those a few years back and now only use baby soap. No more runny nose and sneezing after shower. :)

I have proven allergic reactions to cats and dogs fur, lemon grass, domestic dust. Many of the chemicals we use every day like soaps, shampoos, etc. have toxic chemicals that are high allergens. Try to avoid soaps, shampoos and conditioners that has parabens in them. Those are cancerous as well.

Sounds scary! Glad to hear you are okay @Pablo

Getting old sucks! All these unexpected things happen. Despite our best efforts, you just never know what's around the corner. When young, it seems that the body just absorbs these events, but being older changes that.

I've got a buddy who worked for many years as an asphalt and concrete contractor. A wiry guy who worked 12 hours a day for decades. More recently, he's semi-retired, working on automotive/motorcycle/power equipment repair/restoration projects. Drinking a goodly many beers daily, packing on some extra lbs, and not taking care of himself. He has high blood pressure, but won't do any follow-up work or change his lifestyle. He's a ticking time bomb. Quite the opposite of most here. Gotta do what we can, because something unexpected may happen.

The odd thing about those little grape tomatoes is they are super thick skin, more skin than meat man made hybrids. And non organic. I did wash them, but still no idea what they were treated with. I've been searching and reading, apparently the reaction(s) are typically quite rapid.

This is great advice. Last September I was feeling some chest pains so I went to the ER and that’s when they spotted a huge tumor on my right kidney! I had no symptoms of that! Two months later they removed that kidney and I’m cancer free now. It scares me to think about what would have happened if I hadn’t gone into the ER that day 😳 In the end my heart is fine (have seen a cardiologist and had tests done and have a clean bill of health there)
