I had a major attack today..............

I have something behind my garage near the woods just being in the area let alone trimming gives you heart attack like symptoms, massive sneezing, coughing to the point you are about ready to gag... some nasty plant or weed...

Could be a reaction to something the tomatoes were sprayed with while growing or in transit to store.
My wife said EXACTLY the same thing. These definitely are not clean, organic, no spray tomatoes.

I think just a few days ago - oddly enough - I said I am not friends with Mr Tomato.

Nearly couldn't breath.

Not sure why.

Like an asthma/allergy attack. I thought maybe it was from weed whacking. I mean other than hacking a lung up, eyes running and nose watering and heart pounding, head exploding, can't breath, I'm fine. It was more than hour after I showered, etc

I usually never have grass allergies. The odd part, it happened around 8-10 minutes after I ate 3 store bought grape tomatoes. Daughter is allergic to tomatoes and I was tested to have some sensitivity to tomatoes.

Carry on. Feel like I need to rest now.
My son has a severe nut allergy I take allergies seriously. I never was allergic to stone fruits up until a few years ago cutting up plums and peaches for my son I had an attack sneezing eyes watering throat felt like i swallowed glass. not pleasant on my end. I would take care of that and find out what you got going on.

That sounds like an anaphylactic attach. Given that you had just eaten tomatoes that sounds like the culprit.

Need to see your doctor asap. You will probably want to carry an epi-pen in future, and learn how to use it. It can be life saving.

I have a bee sting allergy and carry a couple vials of adrenaline and syringes. Epi-pens expire regularly and are very expensive. Adrenaline in a vial is cheap. But then I know how to draw it up and administer it, which isn't a consideration for most people. I've taught my wife how to administer it too.

Please get tested and take care of yourself. Glad you are OK for now. I had allergies suddenly develop in my 40's.

Also if something happened to you @Zee09 would certainly miss harassing you.

Are you sensitive to all nightshades, or just tomatoes? It’s a big group of plants. You could’ve hit something special.

I think I am actually. My youngest daughter (28) does for sure.

Me and peppers used to be best buddies, then I couldn't eat bell peppers, then any hot pepper would mess me up. I mean analenflambe!

Potatoes I really don't eat anymore, so unknown

Egg plant is suspect. Nothing outright but just no urges to eat any more. Don't feel good after caponata or eggplant parmi.

Tomatoes like I said have been building from suspect to no eat. I had an empty stomach and powered those three like candy. Good test I suppose.

So all my life NO TRUE FOOD ALLERGIES. Then some suspect nut allergies, cashews for sure. Now this!

Almost 68 yo, so yeah the body changes!

Don't forget that potatoes are nightshades, too.

Oranges, bananas, and some other fruits and most tree nuts give me a typical anaphylaxis response. I can eat roasted almonds but not raw ones. Cashews upset my stomach. I'm not sure about cranberry juice. I drink it in small amounts, often mixed with alcohol.

Red wine and melons give me heart palpitations.

@Pablo, your body gave you a warning that you should heed. The allergic response can get worse, a lot worse as time goes on.
