Currently running Amsoil DCT fluid. If it was an improvement over the factory fill it was minimal. 1-2 can be a little notchy at times. Not terribly bad though.Curious about this as well. I have 6k miles on the Ford DCT fluid and it is just ok.
David mentioned the 75W as a possibility. He said he knew of no one using it in this application.Which one?
What is the factory fill in your BMW?I use HPL MTL 75W in BMW.
It is very good when cold; however, I am not that happy when the fluid gets hot. For normal driving, it works well, but it would not take the car to the track with it, and when driving spirited, don't feel comfortable shifting really fast. Numerous times, I almost ended up in third instead of fifth.
Probably 75W75 or 75W80 would do much better. I would say 75W is thicker than what you have now, though.
It is I believe Pentosin, similar KV100 as 75W.What is the factory fill in your BMW?

Prior to that, I used a bit thicker Redline D4 ATF and it worked really well. But was 1cst thicker though.
In your car I am thinking 75W will be thicker than DCT fluid, so you should not have issues when hot.
When cold shifts are rally good.
Yeah, that seems go to for BMW.I'm running Redline D4 ATF in my 6-speed M6. It shifts great, cold and hot.
I did not. I ended up using Amsoil DCT again with no complaints. I hear of a lot of folks using the BG syncroshift with good results. Thanks!Did you end up trying HPL? I’ve been using BG syncroshift II in my MT82 for the past few years and it works a lot better than the factory DCT fluid but I’ve been curious about HPL.
Are you using the BG Universal MGC additive along with the BG Synchro Shift II fluid?Did you end up trying HPL? I’ve been using BG syncroshift II in my MT82 for the past few years and it works a lot better than the factory DCT fluid but I’ve been curious about HPL.

I am seeing this as an option and considering this on my next service.
