I don't know if there is any alternative, but I believe it is the BOT 341 fluid developed by BP/Castrol....same as in my Volvo. As far as I know it is available only from an authorized car dealer.

Here's some info on Volvo's fluid which meets the same spec (and I'm assuming is the exact same fluid):

Quality: API GL-4 WSS-M2C200-D2
Viscosity: SAE 75W
Density: 852 kg/m3
Lowest floating temperature: -54 C
Base: Synthetic baseoil
Viscosity at +40 C: 32 mm2/s
Viscosity at +100C: 6,4 mm2/s

My experience, the Motorcraft fluids are pretty reasonably priced, though on some you can get the Volvo equivalent cheaper online.

The 6sp Mustang GT manual is not a dual clutch transmission

Maybe where you are, but around me Ford dealers charge outrageous prices for Mercon V and the MC version of 3309.

Motorcraft Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid for AT
Use only in DPS6 PowerShift twin dry-clutch transmissions

Specific Gravity: 0.852 g/m³ @20°C

Flash Point: 226 °C COC

Viscosity: 32 cSt ASTM D445

For clarification, I think I get what Drew is stating: The tranny uses the new DCT fluid, but the tranny is NOT a DCT, right?

I'm not aware of any matching fluid alternatives at this point.

Same can be said for the Mercon LV in my Fusion. There are after market alternatives that claim "suitable for use where LV ...", but nothing I can find is "licsened" for LV other than Motorcraft.
