HPL Manual Transmission Life in MT82

Curious about this as well. I have 6k miles on the Ford DCT fluid and it is just ok.
Currently running Amsoil DCT fluid. If it was an improvement over the factory fill it was minimal. 1-2 can be a little notchy at times. Not terribly bad though.

I use HPL MTL 75W in BMW.
It is very good when cold; however, I am not that happy when the fluid gets hot. For normal driving, it works well, but it would not take the car to the track with it, and when driving spirited, don't feel comfortable shifting really fast. Numerous times, I almost ended up in third instead of fifth.
Probably 75W75 or 75W80 would do much better. I would say 75W is thicker than what you have now, though.

What is the factory fill in your BMW?

It is I believe Pentosin, similar KV100 as 75W.
Prior to that, I used a bit thicker Redline D4 ATF and it worked really well. But was 1cst thicker though.
In your car I am thinking 75W will be thicker than DCT fluid, so you should not have issues when hot.
When cold shifts are rally good.
