Good Morning folks. Here is UOA on HPL CK-4 5w30 HDEO that now has 6k on it.

Looks good to go for a while longer.
Lil is still in sump. I have 3 gallons left too. I’m happy with it may run it to 12k and resampleLooks great. But I don´t see anything on there that would make me want to pay the premium over Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Platinum, though. I know I´ll be lashed with a wet noodle and put in the virtual stockade by some of the HPL worshipers around here for saying that.
Still, it looks great. Viscosity stayed exactly the same, for both the 3k run and the 6k. That´s nice. And it looks like it could have easily handled a much longer run with ease.
Could be. Dad used some sort of 15w40 in it before I inherited it.Any ideas why the sodium was 16 and 13 despite no coolant or potassium? Previous left over oil?
Jist heads up to folks here: I’m officially done as in DONE posting UOA and VOA eeports. Tired of every one I post getting nitpicked on for a teeny error in title or subject. Sick of it already. From here on out I’ll end reports to OVERKILL to post in proper section.
My issue is a “mod” sent me a PM lecturing me on title, grade etc. so disgusted with it. Treat me like I’m 4 why don’t you. Why I’m now officially done.I don't blame you. I stopped as well as most threads ended up with the same people bickering over 1-2 ppm differences that are well within the ICP's MoE and/or complaining how I spend my money.
The report looks great. I say resample at 10-12k miles though I'm confident it would go 15k miles without breaking a sweat.
This oil is still in service. 3.9 “magnum v-6 “ engine. Didn’t see any carbon or lil’ metal bits in Toyota filter either. Will re-sample at 12,000 miles. Been driving truck daily least half hour to hour drives to keep everything hot and moving. Thanks for the UOA Adam! I agree with @RDY4WAR that this likely could have gone 12-15k if this is an in-service sample. The Iron at 22ppm may seem a little high (~3.8ppm/1k), but the increase from 3k to 6k was only 2ppm/k which is pretty stellar for an old-school V8.
I understand the frustration with nitpickers, but your contributions are always appreciated!

Yeah, kinda ignorant to get PM telling member how to post. That's annoying to me too. Having a structure is fine and well, but sometimes it gets petty which just makes me not want to post.
Let me help you here, the HDEO from HPL does not have a CK-4 Rating. You also have the Bad A Oil listed. You made a mistake, and the Mods said what they said, live with it.
No, incorrect. It is CK-4 rated. I can prove it with a pic of gallon jug.Let me help you here, the HDEO from HPL does not have a CK-4 Rating. You also have the Bad A Oil listed. You made a mistake, and the Mods said what they said, live with it.
I did not post the A word because I just did not want to post the word.
Ok, I was thinking about the HDMO, you always have a Nice Day!No, incorrect. It is CK-4 rated. I can prove it with a pic of gallon jug.
#2. I posted oil grade as just 5w30 and got slammed by mod for not posting properly.
#e. It is NOT bad “A” motor oil. Let’s make this crystal clear.
Have a nice day
The folks at that WIX lab obviously don’t read the slip I fill out and sent in. Called them today to straighten it out. I asked the lady “can anyone there read English?”Ok, I was thinking about the HDMO, you always have a Nice Day!
Whoops, I saw the "Magnum" but ignored the rest. However, isn't that engine just a 360 with the rear two cylinders chopped off? (Edit: I cheated and checked the bore/stroke. It's de-bored and de-stroked. Not as closely related as I imagined.)This oil is still in service. 3.9 “magnum v-6 “ engine. Didn’t see any carbon or lil’ metal bits in Toyota filter either.
