It is basically a CAI-just put the filter up front on the inlet. If you can afford the car…Devil's advocate, but where else would you place it? Between styling, low hoodline, all the 'stuff' around a current engine, the pedestrian safety hood crush space requirements, size of the air filter for that engine, there are not many options.
Bit larger then a CAI, plus the plenum. I would guess that having to maintain an open area beneath the hood at the front was a factor. It is basically a CAI-just put the filter up front on the inlet. If you can afford the car…
I wonder how much the labor is.That's just stupid. I wonder what the air filter costs....
Well, it probably flows the same CFM as a cone, just slightly better filtration!Bit larger then a CAI, plus the plenum. I would guess that having to maintain an open area beneath the hood at the front was a factor.
I was going to suggest a sleek hood scoop like maybe this Ferrari’s, but your idea is cooler.Moron. All he had to do was shoot a hole in the hood and open it up with sheet metal cutters and pvc pipe the intake to the 350 chevy round air filter box. It'd make it look better too.

Then you replace the car to avoid filter changeWith such a huge filter…..75k is a good number. Might even make it to 100k.
