How often do you wash your car?

^^This. I've been known to take a bucket of warm soapy water outside on a rainy day and knock only the worst of the dirt off the cars. No rinsing or waxing. It doesn't do much good once we've driven in and out of our gravel driveway a few times.

Maybe every six seven weeks. Used to be almost every week when new. Covid slowed it down.

Cost me money to stop being so diligent. I used to stop by the coin op after my ski excursions and get after the undercarriage with plain water. I immediately parked the car for several weeks instead when a Covid hit. Rusted the rotors.

One of the advantages of the two bucket rinseless technique is that you can do it in the garage at night or in inclement weather. Something to keep in mind. I used to wash about the time ‘60 Minutes’ came on it seemed. Last chore of the weekend.

The older I get, the less I care. Now I just try to keep the salt off of it... so once a month in the winter and once or twice through spring and fall.

I have the company car washed and the interior cleaned as soon as it's not spic and span. Sometimes every day. My own cars get washed by me as needed. Could be once a week for my daily driver or once a month or less in case of my weekend car.

Unfortunately not often enough lately. During the winter I have to pick my days which can be frustrating at times. I will not use a car wash, so on occasion I will be driving a dirty car longer than I want.

Sad but true isn't it? I found I sweat the small stuff less too, but that's a good thing.
I wouldn’t say sad, more of a priority shift. Back when I did care more it was the only thing I really spent any time on (I was also a pretty depressed person from 18~20 but I digress), now I have soon to be 3 kids and an amazing wife who all mean far far more to me than a vehicle. Plus my oldest son LOVES going through the car wash, his laughter and giggling alone is worth the $20!

I used to freak out over a small scratch or rock chip or a small dent... now it just adds character to the car in a weird way. It’ll never be perfect, but that’s okay because neither am I.

before we go on holiday, and it try to wash it at least a week before we get freezing weather. The last wash is of course optional but after that no washing until freezing weather is gone.

More in the summer because of bugs … the Jeep mainly after coastal trips - wash the body on the way home and in the morning I put a sprinkler under it since it’s all cooled down by then …

I have a few years on you, more than a few I think. In my case the mind wants to wash the car, the body says screw it it's too cold, too hot, or too sunny. lol I care about the looks and condition of my vehicles, just a little less now. I enjoy working on them, I just pick my days more. In a word, getting old sucks!

Seasons Greetings! Stay safe and healthy!!!!

I currently was the Jetta once a week and the Accord every other week. I was washing both of our vehicles every week once upon a time but life is just too busy now. How often do you wash your rides?
When it looks dirty from about 30 feet. That is from front door to drive way.

Three daily drivers are every week, one less daily every two weeks, and the other six are covered or in the garage so twice a year.

OMG $20 for a wash!!. I do mine at a coin operated, .50 cent to start the washer but I put $2.50 and when it beeps another .50 cent's to get the deionized water. On wife's Sienna it is more like $4 for the wash.

That’s for the fancy one that pulls you through and does everything for you. They have cheaper options, but it’s a once in awhile thing so why not splurge. Plus I don’t have to get out and do it in the cold!
