How often do you use your moonroof?

Both of my cars have a moonroof. I never open them. I opened them once or twice, but mostly to ensure they worked.

My Volvo had a sliding metal sunroof. I rarely opened that either. It was a novelty so I used it a bit at first.

I'd prefer not having one (and pocketing the extra cost). But I'll bet the auto manufacturers prefer including them and making the customer pay.

Years ago … would not look at anything without one. Latest purchase made sure we didn’t get one …

Never had trouble with them … thrill was gone … think vehicles are quieter and better insulated without them …

I had a car once with a sunroof, never used it but a couple times and I hate driving it. It's too hot with it open, too noisy, the sun is shining in my face, and it takes up headroom.

I live in the hottest and sunniest city in the U.S., last thing I want is something that makes the car hotter. Like black paint!

Never. It broke and not worth fixing. Wish it wasn’t there and had the additional headroom. BMW puts them in everything. Usually need a custom order to not have one.

I have one in all three vehicles I own. Like some others have mentioned -- "every chance I can get!!" In fact, first thing I do when I get in someone elses vehicle -- I look up to see if they have one.

I rent cars just about every week. I never use the sunroof.

I absolutely love convertibles, I always own one, and I enjoy driving top down, nearly 100% of the time. But you are kidding yourself to think windows down and sun roof open comes anywhere near the convertible experience. In fact, the annoying resonances and buffeting caused by windows down and sun roof open are reason enough to avoid it.

I often drive my S2000 with top down and windows up and AC on. It's quiet and comfortable enough like this to talk on the phone at highway speeds. And brief rain showers don't come in when at speed.

We haven't used ours yet on my wife's new (to us) 17 Impala that we purchased back in November but I am sure once the nice weather gets here, it is going to be popular, especially for my wife.

I use the vent position on summer days to let the hot air out the top as the AC pumps in cold air down below, at least until the car cools down. When cleaning interior or when sitting with engine off I'll have it wide open.

I'll close the glass and the shade on the highway since the wind noise right over my head annoys me.

Only had it leak once when a drain tube got clogged. Cleaned that out and hasn't leaked again since I check the drains more often.

On my RSX I’ll open the sunroof and drive to let out all the hot air if car is parked outside during the summer.

It is like making sure to have a whirlpool bath tub in the new house that you are building; used it once in 20 years :-)

I wish t-tops would have caught on more than the 10 or so years they existed. They gave you more open air, a little more headroom (instead of a good bit less) and I thought were cool looking. I wouldn't have a car with a sunroof because there is a cable and motor that can break, headroom takes a serious hit, too little open space and extra expense. I know t-tops can leak, but I would deal with that.

We use the one in the Malibu more than I thought we would

My T-tops? If the WS6 is out they are removed.

I use mine to vent to car while parked in the sun, make quit a difference in the inside temp here in the desert southwest.

The sunshade is open in the Outlander 24/7. We love the light, airy feeling it gives. Around town we have it tilted open anytime it's not raining. Apart from the fact they cut into the headroom a little, I see no negatives whatsoever about a sunroof.
