Noticed this listing on Ebay,

If that's all they are worth, why bother? I don't expect thieves will be switching from cats to O2 sensors anytime soon.

According to the always truthful and accurate internet, a Bosch sensor has about 13 mg of platinum worth about $0.39. 27 would be worth $10.53 approx.

Regards,
John

Minus the cost to get it out of course, dispose of the remains, purify the recovered platinum, document the purity, and then sell on the open market as recovered bullion.

I used to work for a company that tried to recover silver from an industrial process but in the end, it just wasn’t worth it.

The hard part would be how to scrape the platinum from all those scrap O2 sensors...
