I had a cheque book maybe 20 years ago...then the bank started charging $10/book of 20, and issuing new books quarterly regardless of keeping track...I stopped that and went back to cash.
Buying my current house a year ago needed 8 bank cheques, at $10 each.
If I scrap some metal, by law the scrappie has to pay me by cheque (or other tracable transfer), plus dividends often have a cheque attached.
So handwritten...nothing in over 20 years.
Bank Cheques...maybe 12 in the same period, 8 in the last year, and a few for car purchases.
Cheques received, maybe 3-5 per year.
