How long should I run the Synpower?

I was originally planning on only 7,500 miles or so... But this run has been predominantly highway. In addition to my normal all highway commute, I've put about an additional 3,000 miles on my car between going to ohio, syracuse, ithaca, Baltimore, and repeated trips to NJ. So I have about 5,500 miles on this run so far, and am thinking that since it's summer, and it's pretty much all highway, I might push it to the 10,000 mile mark. Think I should? (this is going to be including at least one more trip to NJ, one to Washington DC, and possibly to South Carolina as well)

That's what I'd do.
 
As others have said, while under warranty keep at OM normal service or OLM limit or close. After that, then experiment with extended oci till your heart's content.
 
I just changed mine out for PP. after seeing all the poor analyses of it, not a fan anymore. But ford says like 10k on motorcraft syn blend, so the car can handle it.
 
For 99% highway driving, go with the longest normal maintenance interval the manufacture will allow to keep the warranty in effect for your 2013 Ford Focus.
