Havoline Life Long 0W-20

The VOA comparison between Valvoline EP and Havoline look like the same add pack within the error rate of BS reports.
1) He isn’t qualified to do that.
2) Not all additives show up in a simple VOA.
3) VOAs are good at showing initial concentrations, oxidation, viscosity etc, to compare to a subsequent UOA. Not product to product comparisons of add packs. There just isn’t enough info to say what’s what definitively.

Havoline pro-ds is their higher end oil,the lifelong is a bit lower tier,,the pro-ds is a real good oil ,but a bit hard to find in 5 qt jugs and quarts.
It's almost impossible to find at this point. Chevron is struggling from what I hear... I wonder if Havoline is being phased out!?

I bought about 50 quarts of Havoline Syn.

Great oil that has zero love from consumers.

Chevron is struggling? Or their retail oil side is struggling. The latter I have no idea on. The former - they reported a $2.4 Billion profit in Q3 alone, so I don't think that is struggling.

I like Chevron products, but they seem not to spend much time marketing / distributing them at retail - not like BP or XOM. I would buy a Chevron product long before I buy Warren / supertech, although I am sure Warren is fine also. I would also rather buy from a US based Chevron than a Saudi based Valvoline or British based Quaker state. But I have used all those brands over the years without issue.

British based Quaker State? While I do understand that the parent company is based out of London, QS is a US based brand out of Houston, TX. Lets just be honest about things for just a moment... all these ginormous companies are global. Shell has a headquarters in Houston, TX. They make the products and employee lots of people right here in this country... that's what really matters to me.

Pro DS Lifelong is a Walmart exclusive(seal conditioners for all mileages). Outside Walmart it is just Pro DS and Pro DS High Mileage.

They certainly don't make it easy.

Synthetic blend
Synthetic techonology
Synthetic blend high mileage
High mileage synthetic technology
Lifelong Full Synthetic

This thread was helpful in highlighting how unhelpful Havoline support was:

Some speculation on what "synthetic technology" means:

Finally, the typically vague marketing:

Seems like they just threw a bunch of ancient certifications on there to make it look like the full synthetic is a most betterer oil.
