Thanks! PB looked it up for me and said it didn't exist? I'll see if AA has it and if they will match PB price. Price wars, and the new AA wants as much of PB business as they can grab. I'll check it out later on.

I got some SAE 30 for the lawnmowers.

Anyone run this stuff in their cars?

Thanks

My opinion, buy it up!!!!!! It is a great oil, and is capable of 5k intervals. For the price, who needs it to do extended drains?
In my area, I struggle to find oil cheaper than 2.29 per qt.

Blue Goose just did a UOA of this in his 2.4l HHR a while back. 6100 miles and all wear numbers in single digits with an ok TBN. Couldn't ask for much more out of $1.99/quart oil. I'd gladly use it for 5k in any of my applications.

Anything under the SOPUS blanket (Pennzoil, QS, Forumula Shell) will be more than adequate, especially with resonable OCIs

Don' forget Pep Boys has 5 qt's Shell w/Proline oil filter for $9.99 with NO REBATE

First 50 customers get $10 Pep Boys gift card so basically it is free if you combine the two.........

I used to stock up on Formula Shell at Walgreens of all places. They used to run a periodic sale where they'd have to for $1.27 a quart. As I am in Walgreens 2-3 times a week anyway I figured why not. I ran it for quite a few changes in the CR-V.

This makes sense. In Oz shell oils are Shell Helix range....

Probably not marketed in the U.S as Pennzoil already has such a massive historical following....Pennzoil not as popular in Australia and parts of europe where Shell Helix is the oil marketed. I am not sure if Pennzoil in Australia use GRoup 2+ they may just use the Shell group 2 base stocks, but additive tech different.
