How HPL Oil is Made - Plant Tour Video

Cool video, thanks for sharing! I wished they (or one of their vendors? whoever owns advlubrication.com) shipped to Oklahoma. Also, it looks spotless in their facility.

I went on a tour of HPL in Manteno just this past Friday!

Awesome facility; great personnel; very high-end products. They cater to the informed consumer; no "lowest common denominator" need apply.

Top notch operation from stem to stern. Excellent lab with very nice equipment and the skilled personnel to design/craft the right lube for many applications.

Some of the OCIs their customers are getting from their products would make the typical anal-retentive BITOGer's head spin. They are achieving unheardof OCIs in the mining industry, and getting stellar wear from extended OCIs in vehicular applications in the desert southwest in some very demanding environments. You'll never see this product on the shelf at a discount retailer or bulk retailer; these are ultra-premium prouducts which exceed most anyone's expectations.

How serious do they take cleanliness? Here's a few examples ...
On the tour we saw 55-gal drums which come into their facility individually bagged from the OEM; they are bagged almost immediately out of the roto-mold and plugged such that no dirt gets into the drum, and then OEM drops a large, plastic drum over the barrel to keep it clean during shippment; that's how HPL specs the purchase of the drum. Further, depending on application, when they ship in IBCs (intermediate bulk containers), they don't accept the IBC back from the customer, because the effort to clean the IBC to a "new" state isn't worth they time/money. That outght to let you know how committed they are to shiping their products in a clean state.
