I recently purchased 8 cases of Quaker State "Peak Performance" oil at my local Walmart at $8.78 per 5 Litre jug. I`ve used this oil before and like it but would like to hear more of an educated/experienced opinion or opinions on the matter. I`m also a fan of Pennzoil how do they compare?

Side note, Pennzoil is a group II+ base oil and Quaker State is not. Overall both are well formulated.

You made a real nice purchase - as long as you have the proper viscosity-range for your vehicle. Use with confidence.

There haven't been many UOA with this oil, but the few have shown excellent results. You can't go wrong with a SOPUS oil.

I used QS Peak Performance 5w30 in my wife's '97 Expedition a couple of times. IMO, it was a great oil. I'd use it again in a heartbeat, if I had a vehicle that specified an oil of that type.

I believe at one time on this board Terry mentioned that the green bottle has shown some if not the best results in bench testing. I have no idea what to make of it only that it was his statement, which I think holds great value.

Bought a case of Pennzoil from Advanced Auto Parts, and just like last time, I heard the whole, "Why are using that stuff. That and Quaker State cause wax in your engine."

Morons.

But it puts wax on the intake valves!
