I bought a case of these filters on eBay thinking they were made by premium Guard. Unfortunately They are not. I've cut 2 open and they look well made except for this.
Guess I throw them away.

Purolator PureONE ... but they are a red Teflon type coated and not solid silicone like PGI make filters.
Never taken a non-boss prolator out of the box. Kinda strange now that I think about it lol. Thanks
Technically speaking, the filters you bought were "Leak Tested". They just happened to have failed, so sold off to some unsuspecting sole. /sarcasm
That's a leak test of the can, to check for leaks around the crimp seam. Not a leak test of the internal bypass valve.
