how bad is this lipid panel?

Those numbers are not that bad, especially if your blood pressure is normal. If you have high blood pressure along with high cholesterol, that's bad.

Well, I'll say "maybe" to that EK. Doctors are highly compelled to support 97 in his future profession by pencil whipping out "physician in a can". In many cases at the drop of a hat they pounce upon the opportunity to write a script ..and while it may indeed be to your benefit, one must weigh the total package in cost:benefit just like anything else. Our seniors that are setting the benchmarks for longevity had no such drugs or advanced medicine available to them ..and still set records. Naturally, some of these records are attained with medical procedures that in themselves are pretty expensive ..but some are just naturally long lived people.
