House for sale. ....Erin Brockovitch stuff.

Home seller is delusional asking that kind of money. There is NOTHNG good or attractive in Hinkley. In fact there is NOTHING in Hinkley. I've driven through it 2 or 3 times, most recently about 6 months ago.

Attached is a view of the main street in Hinkley.

There used to be a mini mart with gas pumps. Regular gas only. That is all gone now with no sign of it ever being there.

Around 1992 I had a girlfriend that lived in Hinkley. She was trouble, glad she and I didn't work out.

What was the water contaminated from?
It was contaminated from careless and improper discharge of wastewater into unlined holding ponds by the PG& natural gas compressor station in Hinkley. The Cr(VI)-contaminated wastewater got into the groundwater and thus into the local drinking water supply.

Good off roading in the area. Nice place to live a quiet life. Kinda agree about the water though...

The lot is 133 feet by 133 feet. Pretty small to attract people to live in that area.
You’re pretty close to PG&E, but the eastern sub area is the one that still needs some remediation, judging by their water report.
It looks to me that PG&E destroyed residential wells containing high levels of anthropogenic Cr(VI).
An interesting thing though: arsenic, uranium, and nitrates. Appears to be a high level there, all from natural sources.
