Hot weather coming

I think that's why there is pushback regarding these topics, the answers are incomplete and often are not real world solutions. also the sit down and take attitude doesn't help.
The anti-global warming folks could very well be right. It's beyond me.

Here is another interesting read from our own government agency. Atlantic hurricanes have become stronger because of ocean warming.

But the reason at least currently the oceans are now warmer is because of air pollution regulations that have reduced particular matter that was reflecting sunlight back out into space

By the way, I take no position and don’t take this comment too serious but I don’t care and the reason I don’t is taxpayers are being milked into electric vehicles for a small percentage of CO2 that they contribute to our atmosphere, let’s say 12 or 14% at the most.

Furthermore, I am not convinced that the Earth cannot handle a higher output of CO2 as algae in the ocean will take up more CO2 plants, trees, flowers, agriculture will grow better, faster, and greener with higher amounts of CO2

As an example, some aquarium keepers with live plans will inject into water carbon dioxide to further create a lush garden inside the aquarium
Marijuana and vegetable growers increase the amount of CO2 inside of their greenhouses to make the plants grow faster, more robust, and better

The cost in my opinion, far outweighs any forecast that this is going to reduce warming

Anyway, he’s an interesting read

@buster I edited this above and added to it, but I think you read it before I finished.
Anyway, good conversation and I’m really not on one side or the other. I just don’t want the other side to cost me too much money unless it could be absolutely proven however I think we’re going about it wrong. If that is the case first let’s get rid of all fossil fuel, burning power plants in the world and replace them with nuclear, which I believe will do more for the atmosphere than automobiles, but what do I know?

OK, back outside working on the house🤪

local manufacturing will also help emissions. not only are products not being shipped so far the emission standards for the factories are better in certain countries than others.

Heat wave here in the Central Valley. 🔥

its been the complete opposite for us in Louisiana, this has been the coolest, wettest spring I can remember. we're in June and I can count on hand how many actual hot days we've had.

Air temp is only part of the story. We seldom see much above the low 90's here, but when its 90 with still 60% humidity, your still in heat index of 105. Not to mention you get 100% humidity all night and the temp never drops much below 80 overnight. Its weird to walk outside at 3:00AM and all you hear is everyone's AC on full tilt.

We are collectivly TERRIFIED in and around Houston because the media tells us every single day the weather outside is DEADLY. They tell us they don't want us going outside. I thank God for our media. They know better than us. I don't know how we survived for millenia before them. After all its never been 92 degrees here before in all of history. We are all gonna die.

Ooof. Which portion of NC. We got a couple of those days last year - nasty business.

We only hit 93F / 67% H / 113F index today. I was mowing the lawn so it was still enough for me.

Since going to propane in 2012 I've been keeping track of the heating degree days per winter. Last year was the warmest by far at 2828 HDD. Next closest was 3125. Coldest are in the 4100-4300 range. Still got 26% of my last summers fill.

Edmonton Alberta is usually in the 9000 range.

The Mason Dixon line at around 39 N latitude is a good way describe the 90 degree limit. Only a couple of temps on this map below the 39 latitude are less than 90 degrees and the highest temp is 118 F.
