Hot weather coming

Here for the last 4 years we have had the same old strategically placed high pressure area, that blocks our cooler weather.
Its like computerized weather now.
Warming ? Sure but don't think outside the box.

High heat and humidity is normal where I live. Usually in May I start wishing for November. Winters are pretty nice most of the time.

It gets hot in the summer and cold in the winter, sometimes more or less than previous years.

Either way some people will blame it on carbon emissions while they sit in the comfort of their air conditioned homes when it's really just the weather changing as normal over the decades.

So global temps may go up 1c again, boo hoo, what calamity has happened so far with the 1c increase in temps over the past 150 years? Some island in the pacific with an elevation of 2' is now going to disappear?

Reality is even if we stopped carbon emissions in the US, the miniscule impact will take decades to realize any benefits and at the massive cost of weening off fossil fuels. We already have super efficient vehicles and energy generation. It's not worth going into extremes by mandating EVs and banning gas ovens over some fuzzy statistical prediction that the oceans will boil away. Sounds tyrannical to me.

No body is messing with the weather. Kooks talk about HAARP or lasers manipulating the clouds in the moron-sphere on twitter or TikTok, but most people just don't understand science. You want to make it rain in a small area by introducing condensation nuclei into the clouds? Go for it, but you won't get massive regional weather pattern alterations.

There are weather cycles that last years or decades, look into El Nino, La Nina, solar cycles, and ocean currents.

Yeah right. We didn’t get jack squat rain wise. That dam global warming struck again. At Raystown Lake was 99F every darn day!
How about today?

Looks like quite a few folks lost power in Texas. The forecast is for heavy rain all the up to Ontario, Canada.
realistically anyone who owns a house ( apartment dwellers dont have the space so they are off the head mired in the sand list) and lives in hurricane prone areas that does not own a generator and enough gas storage to operate that generator 8 hours a day for a week deserves to suffer in the aftermath of a hurricane. This applies to people in the Red and Yellow areas...

I worked at an outfit in the early 70's that was doing just that.
The equipment used then was not even close the to sophistication of now.
I read an article somewhere debunking the whole HAARP theory that some antenna array in Alaska can alter the weather. Apparently it would need to be the size of like 1000 football fields and consume multiple a terawatts of power to make any difference. Difference as in even creating it's own aurora, not making it rain etc. It's just radio waves but you tell someone about the ionosphere and how radio waves work, now they think they are Heinrich Hertz and Nicola Tesla reincarnated lol.

If weather could be altered, meteorologists would be all over these anomalies because the weather models are now wrong since somebody turned on some device or sprayed something in the air. I doubt there is a conspiracy with all the meteorologists out there, both amateur and professional to hide a some secret. Even if there was at some point, the cat would be out of the bag years ago.

This is along the lines of some people who think there is a cure for cancer out there but "they won't release it" for some reason. If someone develops some new amazing tech or medicine, then they will try to be the 1st to market and make as much profit as possible.

There would be billions upon billions to be made by any company that can change the weather. If there was a way to do it at scale, it would have been invented by now unless it involves some futuristic Star Trek technology which we don't have.

that sums it up in a nutshell... it is a question of volume... and the volume of the earths atmosphere amounts to a large thing.

look how long it took for atmospheric CO2 levels to change since the introduction of fossil fuel buring power plants.
Earths atmospheric CO 2 level were rather static until the advent of steam engines, and the introduction of ICE's..
you just imagine the volume of combustion gases it took to change earths atmosphere and overwhelm earths own ability to clean itself..

The cats out of the bag now and mandating strict societal and financial penalties for using already super fuel efficient vehicles is a little bit harsh in my opinion. It would probably take 5x as long to reverse CO2 to pre industrial levels since developing countries rely on fossil fuels to increase standards of living.

If someone really wants to alter earths weather, solar geoengineering by dispersing solar reflecting calcium carbonate i.e. chalk into the atmosphere could be the answer. We'd have to tread carefully here not to cause any harm and possibly require consensus from the public.

"In theory, solar geoengineering could replicate the cooling response of natural phenomena like major volcanic eruptions, which can launch millions of tons of reflective sulfur dioxide particles miles into the sky. Supporters of the idea — including billionaires Bill Gates and George Soros — argue that human efforts to redirect sunlight could shave a few fractions of a degree off of global temperatures while the world economy kicks its addiction to fossil fuels."

"Microsoft’sMSFT -2.4% billionaire founder Bill Gates is financially backing the development of sun-dimming technology that would potentially reflect sunlight out of Earth’s atmosphere, triggering a global cooling effect. The Stratospheric Controlled Perturbation Experiment (SCoPEx), launched by Harvard University scientists, aims to examine this solution by spraying non-toxic calcium carbonate (CaCO3) dust into the atmosphere — a sun-reflecting aerosol that may offset the effects of global warming. HAARP has nothing to do with it. Many fun toys involved in accomplishing it. For simple minded, stuck in a box, proof it can be done, imagine a week long 1/2 hour spaced firing of higher power special Hiroshima devices, spaced evenly apart up and down the middle pacific longitude. You don't think that would not alter the weather, if not keep it up longer then? Now what if there is a cleaner less noticable way to accomplish that?

It is not the norm here to have a month or more with no clouds or contrails. Back in 2000, on these hot clear days planes were pooping all over the sky.

What are these Hiroshima grade devices firing?
How is this device altering the weather from a physics point of view?

If it's some type of EMF then you know there would be like 1000 ham radio operators causing a stink and calling the FCC.
