I’ve been buying Honey Baked ham bones for years. My wife makes ham sandwich’s, ham salad, deviled ham and for seasoning a pot of Pinto beans, Great Northern beans, Green beans, soups etc. I dropped by our local store today and requested a fresh cut ham bone and the lady went into the back room and came out with a ham bone that had been cut today. I asked if she could do a two for one deal and she said yes. So she walked over to a small chest freezer in the dining area and got one that had been cut and frozen yesterday. I bought one fresh and one frozen for $14. Total weight was just over 8 lbs which includes the bone weight which will be used for seasoning. Getting a fresh unfrozen ham bone is hit or miss but even the frozen ones are great if defrosted in the fridge for a couple of days.
