Honda Type 2 coolant

JMO, but since the coolant change interval on the new Hondas is 120Kmi/10 years for the first drain/fill, and then 60Kmi/5 years thereafer...wouldn't it be PLENTY conservative just to do a drain/fill with one $12 jug every 60Kmi/5year? Or if you have an older Honda, just follow the drain/fill intervals given (45K/3yr, then 30K/2yr)?

I think that is what I'm going to do. I don't see much need to go nutty professor trying to get every bit of the old stuff out. I haven't heard anything to suggest that their coolant intervals are a weak spot (like transmissions for instance).

As long as you do a drain & refill every 40K miles you will be fine.

I have G-05 in my wife's 98 Civic for the last 50K miles no problem. The only thing I don't like about the G-05 is its pale yellow color.

ive been to manchester honda countless times. the counter guys are very knowledgeable. some of the other parts lackeys in the back who deal with internet orders are not. i bet you talked to one of the idiots in back.
