I just got three 15400 Honda Genuine filters.

My goodness, do I know about shrinkage?

They just seem small....I know, I know....they'll work fine.

Anyone know what oil filter options exist for the 2006 Odyssey?

I could go with the EaO13 but I think that's smaller!

Why you paid $6 for a FRAM Tough Guard filter with lamer media is really beyond me...

I thought better of you Pablo...

Doesn't Amsoil make oil filters for Honda ??

10 years from now a Honda oil filter will be the size of an aspirin bottle

I used one on my '03 Sonata V6 I had left over from my '96 Accord. Worked fine, no weird startup noises, didn't blow out. Good filter. Kinda hard to legitimize all the filter fanatics' wild-eyed ravings and flagellating around BITOG when American Honda has been quite satisfied with its choice of FRAM to manufacture their OEM oil filters for over a decade - even with the automaker's current 60,000 mile warranty at stake. (Of course, what the deuce does Honda know about engineering motors, anyway?

Pablo the filter from the S2000 will fit and is bigger and flows more oil. I know a few people using it and they seem to be happy and the price should be the same.

Which "15400" filter? If it's the 15400-PLM-A01 it's made by Filtech, if it's the 15400-PLM-A02 it is made by Fram. I purchased a bunch of the Filtech filters online for $4.88/each.

as andy said, not all honda filters are rebadged frams. some are made by filtech, and are pretty good filters. although i still cant bring myself to use them for my honda.. i hate the gasket style they use.

As I stated, they were "free" so I'm not griping too much.

Indeed made by Honeywell as marked on the side, so bummer they aren't Filtech. That o-ring gasket didn't look so good to me either.....I kinda agree with Ray H, but after I use these up, it EaO13 for the Ody.

the ph3593a size should fit without a problem. i beleive that is the one used on the s2000's. it was used on pre-2001 hondas. i think 2001 was when they switched to the smaller filter.

Pablo,

The Purolator L-24458 can still be found....even though it was discontinued last year.

Alot of people have said they have seen the 24458 at Sears that have a Quick lube/tire shop/auto center.
