Honda Civic Hybrid AT Fluid

I usually do a drain and fill on my Honda's at 15K.

Does Honda now recommend Z-1 in the CVT's? I seem to recall that they changed from the CVT fluid to Z-1 but have not seen this in writing?

What say you?

They changed to CVT fluid back in 2006. I don't know of any alternatives. Others may chime in with possible replacement fluids though its doubtful.

Z1 is inadequate for the CVT chains and will be summarily chewed and spit out in use. CVT fluid ( forget the spec) is better but additional testing is ongoing to prove its effectiveness. Lots of Iron wear!
