One thing to remember is there are alot of products that have to be Re-engineered to fit into the Walmart purchase/price scheme.

I personally would never run a house brand, the savings in my mind is not worth the uncertainty.

On a good note, I was looking at Lawn mowers this weekend and noticed Walmart had an off branded mower with a Honda OHC engine not to be confused with a OHV engine.Price $208.00 Pretty good for a generic chassy and a Honda power plant.

Since ST and Sears Spectrum probably outsell Mag1 by a factor of 1000 to 1, I doubt if they're spending much time re-engineering. They might be changing add packs on short notice depending on the market, but I bet they don't run separate lines. I did get a very good UOA on their 5w30 on an 01 Elantra, so it doesn't scare me.

Why? It's a Honda. Doesn't really need anything other than corn oil.
