Homer's "The Odyssey"

I thought the one with Armand Assante as Oddyseus, and Vanessa Williams as Calypso, was fairly faithful to Homer's tale: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118414/?ref_=nm_flmg_job_1_accord_2_cdt_t_105 It was a made-for-TV version, not intended to compete with major releases like Christopher Nolan's, but I thought it was fairly professionally done.

I didn't see an earlier one with Kirk Douglass. I think I'll put that one on my Watchlist.

Taking my family to see it Wed on IMAX. Should be good. Given that it is a three hour movie, I'll definitely need the X-Large size popcorn that is refillable.

IIRC, the Kirk Douglas version was released in 1956.

Sadly like trigonometry, German language and many other topics in High School, I was just ferrting the air through the hollow cranial core. If I knew then, what I know now. Youth is wasted on the young - I wish I had really paid attention.

Of course this was required in High School back then. I do remember that, and hunks and pieces.

Surely we will watch this. At home.
