Thanks for the calculations. It doesn’t get terribly freezing here in North Texas. It’s not uncommon to get down to zero hopefully a half a cup of 99.9% isopropyl alcohol should be enough to keep the water from freezing.If you want to lower the freezing point of water to 0°F, this is what you have to add:
23% methanol
33% ethanol
45% propanol
If you want to lower it to -20°F, this is what you have to add:
33% methanol
40% ethanol
60% propanol
You may do your math from here.
