Hi All. i got the Alternator Fixed. yes, FIXED. Charging at 14.2 Volts, checking it out once more before Work!!! :D

Now that the car can MAINTAIN its Running, im wondering if "Higher il pressures" (60Psi and such while driving, engine 2000-3000 RPM fully warmed) mean that the Viscosity im using (in this case, 10W-40) mean i DONT need to think about a "Higher Viscosity" liek the 20W-50 Jaguar SAYS to use?

I knwo most people dont use 2-W-50 and some also dont use 10W-40 but a 40 with a lighter W number.. but surely the application remains the same: if youre seeing Nice HIGH Oil pressures (that arent TOO High,) .. DONT go up a Grade, yes?

Im off to work.. Thanks all!

I don't think your question is very concise, kind of fuzzy? I think you are saying your Jag specs 20w-50 oil and you are running 10w-40 now with good pressure.
If I was running a good syn oil vs a dino I would have no problem dropping a grade.

I think you're asking this:

"Jaguar says to use 20W-50 oil, but I'm using 10W-40 and seeing plenty of oil pressure. Am I okay with this?"

If that's what you're asking, I think you absolutely are okay. The best oil for your car MIGHT be something like Rotella 5W-40 synthetic, or any 5W-40 synthetic oil. You could also easily get away with 15w40 conventional HDEO.
