I picked up 11 quarts of Kendall SJ rated 5w30 today for 1.25 per. at a local distributor (planning on using it for rinse cycle next spring/auto rx). Got to talking with the guy about things and he said that Penn./Shell/Q State are raising prices next month, same for Castrol. I'm continuing to boost my oil reserves, anybody else? Any Kendall fans?

The Citgo that I bought 2 months ago at .99/qt (before rebate) is now 1.29. Glad I bought a three cases.

I guess SJ is ok for a rinse, but 1.25 sounds rather high for oil that old, YMMV (your mileage may vary).

I'm a Kendall fan, bioguy. But 1.25 sounds kinda high for an SJ rating. The blended 5w30 is only 1.59 here at the discount stores.

And the SOPUS hike is supposed to only affect Shell and Pennzoil. The QS and Wolfs Head is supposed to remain the same, so all you old geezers out there can stop having a heart attack.

EL REY has graced us with his royal presence again. By the way I seen PZ on sale at walmart today for 1.42 which is a good price here in Cali.

India and China are on the rise. We are in decline (IMHO). India and China are producing
engineers and scientists while we are producing.....LAWYERS---go figure.

That's ok. We can SUE them!

(Lawyers like to solve problems with lawsuits. So much so that I once dealt with one (back when I was doing tech support) who threatened to solve his internet access problems that way. All he had to do was plug the modem into a phone line...)

It's just human nature. When the only tool you have is hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

Man, I hope Kragen still keep their $0.50 per quart Chevron Supreme after rebate. I better stock up before they stop that deal.

When gallon for gallon good engine oil cost less than gas, you know it won't last for long.

I deliver pizzas...

When first started delivering, gas was about $1.19/ga. Papa johns, payed me $0.70 per delivery to cover gas.

Now, gas is $2.89/ga. Papa johns, pays me $1.00 per delivery now.

the price of gas went up 143%

the amount I am payed to reimburse for that increase, went up 43%.

My income didn't stay the same with the hike in gas prices, it got cut back.
