Morton's vs. Ruth Chris.

You will get many opinions, most of which are subjective. You can go thru life without eating at either one, or in this case, using either brand - and your engine will be just fine.

Just stop. Please.
I think there is opportunity for discussion on the strengths of each brand's line-up, but I recognize that some of this commentary will be subjective.

I’m okay with Saltgrass

Ya think? The OP has no clue what the definition of "better" or "best" is to start with, so any and all comments will be nothing but subjective and conjecture. This is nothing but a useless fishing expedition with no rules and no boundaries and in the end will produce no relevant information.

But it’s fun chatting about 😂👍

After 20 years of being on BITOG I will still occasionally entertain these "vs" posts purely out of fun.

Only HPL could tell you and only if they've done internal bench testing against competitor products.

If you're looking for data, Amsoil product data sheets give you a bit more.

If you're looking for engine testing results, which performance claims are based upon, you're looking at the major brand formulations which most all now claim:

10x-20x greater performance on Seq IIIH (excellent)

Amsoil has been around for a long time. Lot of data out there. Proven brand.
HPL is a newer brand that works with one of the greatest minds in lubricant technology and spares no expense on additive and base oil selection.

I've seen excellent extended drain UOA's on Mobil 1, Amsoil and HPL (more recently). The TBN retention of HPL appears quite good even when the drain intervals are greatly extended beyond normal OEM recommendations.

Final opinion: inconclusive

LOL
