The 75K thing was a happy medium in an internal Valvoline debate for MaxLife when it first came out. Some wanted it marketed for 50K and others 100K, this was the late 90's so 75K was reasonable enough then but perhaps not now...

I put Mobil 1 5W-20 HM in my fathers Leaky '06 Ford Taurus and it has stopped or slowed it to a crawl. The previous fill was Smitty's 5w30 HM, but it was in there for two years...

Why would you recommend any oil that caused your car to stop or slow to a crawl??

J/K, I know what you meant

LOL The truth is that it barely moves because my father drives maybe 1,500 miles a year that this point...

Even if you could get the High Mileage oil $7 cheaper a Jug and it wouldn't hurt your car?

I have a decade old car and have switched back and forth no issues before or since.

I run full synthetic, semi, High Mileage, and on a few occasions, conventional. I have even run mixed oil weights, brands, etc. And, my engine is still running. Imagine that!

Well shut my mouth I would have guessed this by 2040 or latter.

Thanks for all the responses. I've been very busy and haven't had time to get on here. I have no leaks at all, so I think I'll just stick with FS oil and not worry about using High Mileage oil. If I ever develop a leak I will give High Mileage oil a try. I wasn't able to find the thread talking about sludge from Valvoline High Mileage on the CRV forum, but if I find I will post it on here.
