This looks to be a great place to see how many miles you've all got on your cars... Since probobly everyone here is somewhat fanatical about taking care of their vehicles. Me... I've got 154k mi on my '97 Expedition, and it still runs drives great!... hopefully it's only middle aged!

154K, 96 Saturn SL2. Engine doesn't consume oil & trans is in great shape. However, much of the rest of the car has seen better days.

Castrol HM 10w-40, M1 filter
LC & FP

Had over 300K on my 83 VW GTI.Everything original. 216K on my 67 Beetle, at least three engines in that time. I am really proud of my 168K Fiat X19, about 100K on my modified engine. Not real proud of my 38K on a Lotus Elan, but that's Lotus for you. 150K+ on my 77 Chevette. Needed another auto tranny after 90K. My worst record was a 96 SAAB 900S, only 128K and it left me stranded three times.A check engine light would never go off so I gave it away. I loved driving that SAAB but its reliability was put to shame by a Lotus. I am currently leasing a BMW 325i wagon and I HATE that car. Can't wait to get a new Honda Fit.

1997 Neon 2.0 L DOHC MTx, took delivery July 31 1997, now over 194,000 miles. Approx 400 miles into Auto-Rx clean phase #2 of a full "double dose" cleaning.

Had, but recently sold 93 s10 blazer 4.3. 231k new tranny at 110k. Bought with 98k, so tranny problems were inherited.
Buick skylark, 165k
chrysler concord 130k
silverado, 20k

97 Sebring 'vert, bought new, now has 153K miles.
Used to change the oil every 3k; switched to Mobil 1 and change every 6 months (~11k miles).
I drive it like a rental

Oh, and the trans fluid has never been changed.....

I had 225k on my 95 Civic sold two years ago. It was worn out in ride/rattles/seats at 150k miles. My new goal in cars is see how it is at 150k and then decide.

I had 191k on my 97 Saab 900 SE Turbo when I wrecked it. Still ran like new, only left me stranded once and that was my fault. Did I mention spotless internals?

I had a 85 Chev S-10,2.8L V6 with 369,000km on it when I sold it for 500 bux...still had the original factory clutch in it after 16 years and ran great!

198K on my 95 Roadmaster wagon, tranny has been replaced, engine is an LT1 and in wonderful shape.

Other car is pretty heavily modified 96 Caprice with an LT1 put in a bigger cam at about 60-65K on the engine and then at about 95K did a more aggressive cam and some serious headwork. Now easily over 450flywheel HP out of my little 350, I daily drive it and have put nearly 4K miles on this setup dragracing on average at least every other week. Calculations based on the dragstrip times say 3.8 second 0-60mph which will mean more to most of you than 12.5 at 107mph in the quarter, this one has a "built" tranny.
A year ago at 185K miles the wagon went down the dragstrip 15.5 at 88mph.

I got 99k on my 02 Sonoma (Im hoping to triple this). It has begun to heat up a little more than normal at idle than it used to. This started once I changed the antifreeze to Havoline.

182K 2.5L 4 cylinder. 1992 Dodge Daytona. Engine is showing its age, bearings have made a slight knock, either the front crankshaft, camshaft, or int. shaft have a slight dripping leak. 3 speed tranny is on its way out, spitting out shaving and dripping fron the front seal

Gonna do some overhaulin on the engine maybe next year once I rebuild the tranny, replace the shocks and struts, and do a few other repairs. Mileage stinks. 20mpg.

On the plus side, the body for the most part looks nice. Strong heater(must in pittsburgh winters) and a good AC( a must in our summers). Interior is near mint and the car drives nice. I think I made out well for 1200.00 This was my first car that was fully mine btw, so I have a special attachment to it.

106,200 miles 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis. No major problems, worn out tie-rod end, plugged EGR ports (typical for the 4.6 and stayed plugged for 6 years), both of which are fixed, and I believe the U-joints are about due to be changed. That's all I can think of.

Amsoil in engine, transmission, differential, power steering, and cooling system. Upgraded to dual exhaust back in December. Car runs great with lots of reserved power for those occassions of pulling out in traffic.

Aiming for up to and over 500,000 miles.

1973 Mercedes 450SE 28?,000+

1991 Mercedes 420SEL 157,000+

1992 Subaru SVX 3.3 13?,000+

1987 F250 SuperCab 460 carb with either 79,000 (unlikely), 179,000 (most likely) or, possibly (but not very likely) 279,000+

1988 Mercedes 420SEL 163,000+

1993 Kawasaki ZX-11D 28,000+

To my knowledge the above are all running the original (reciprocating parts) factory installed motor with the exception of the '88 Mercedes witch had an entire top end rebuild last Fall (heads redone, timing chain, guides, etc.) prior to my acqusition. I would imagine the '73 had this done sometime prior to my ownership, but it's 33 years old! There is really no way to tell with the Ford because the odo only reads 5 digits to the left of the decimal: 179,000 seems reasonable, but it is much harder for me to tell with an older truck that has always been taken care of...

Cheers!

p.s. Heck, the only low mileage vehicle I own is a 2001 Valkyrie Interstate with under 4K.

My truck is the only vehicle I have owned...it only has 76K miles on it.

My parents put almost 200K on an '85 Cherokee they bought new. It had the original engine (2.5L) and transmission (manual), but it did go through a couple water pumps. It was totalled in an accident shortly after they sold it.

The second highest mileage vehicle they had was a 1986 Ranger with about 130K on it when it was sold. It had the original engine and trans. The only non-maintenence part that needed replacing was the ignition switch. It is still on the road.

Where I used to work we had a '96 Explorer with over 300K come in for oil changes. It was in good shape aside from having a trashed driver's seat.

Only 62K on my Tacoma with Amsoil Series 3000 and today i installed the AEM dryflow intake for good times. Plan on keeping her for many miles.
